Providing primarily night classes, CCV is a fully accredited member of the State College System and has the lowest tuition rate available.

Stafford Technical Center is a public educational center serving students in grades 11-12 from the ten regional high schools. It provides an evening adult education program, an adult diploma program and specialized training programs for business and industry.

The DET Training Brokerage is designed to assist Vermont Employers in finding solutions and choices for their workforce education and training needs.

  • If you know your Workforce Education and Training needs and would like the Department of Employment & Training to assist you in developing choices and/or Customized Training offerings, simply E-mail us your requirements.
  • If you would like the assistance of your local DET Employer Resource Consultant to help determine your Workforce Education and Training needs, E-mail us indicating that this is a category three request and provide business name, contact person, and telephone number.
  • Would you like additional information on the DET sponsored On-the-Job Training Program (OJT)? This program features a contractual agreement between DET and the employer which reimburses the employer for a significant portion of employer provided new-hire training. E-mail us describing your interest in this program.
  • Do you have unused Training Capacity that you would be willing to share with another business? If you would like DET to assist you in marketing this capacity E-mail us with details.

Vermont Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

The SBDC mission is to assist start-ups and strengthen existing business entities through high quality, no cost counseling and high quality, affordable training programs. Scholarship funds are available for several programs.

Vermont Training Program (VTP)

The Vermont Training Program (VTP) promotes industrial expansion and encourages the creation of jobs in manufacturing by providing training for new, relocating or expanding firms. Vermont Interactive Television, located at Stafford Technical Center, is a two-way audio and visual communication network connecting Rutland to 12 other Vermont sites. VIT'sISDN connections provide video conferencing services for business and organizations.
